This week was pretty good. Paul is still having a good time in his lab and I'm doing well at work.  Friday, Paul took the car to the mechanic so I got up a little early to walk to work. It only took me about 15 minutes. It was a beautiful morning with a pretty view of Mount Timp. After work we went to dinner then went home and watched Captain Phillips with Paul's Grandma. It was really good!  Saturday we did some cleaning then went on a hike to bridal veil falls. After that we met up with Paul's brother, his wife, and his wife's sister to go to a festival in Orem. They had a cool reptile tent, a Farmer's market, rides, and food trucks. Paul got some cotton candy and Paul got me a couple scrunchies. We walked back to the car and watched the firework show from there.  Sunday we had Paul's other Grandma come over for dinner and games. It got a little heated over a game of hearts but overall it was fun.  And that was us this week! We're going to Paul

This week was very long but the weekend was a lot of fun! I finished my first full week of work. I was still training so I didn't have customers in my name, which translates to me having a little too much boredom, which led to a long week. Something fun from work was on Monday we had a meeting where they did an ice breaker of a rock paper scissors tournament. And I literally beat everyone and the boss who was leading the meeting gave me  $50 .  Paul is still enjoying his time working in the lab. Friday, all the interns went to Zions for Friday and Saturday but I couldn't get work off so we didn't go. Paul did a half day of work then got kicked out. He played some basketball with Matt and did some grocery shopping with Terry before I got home.  I packed our stuff on Thursday so we just loaded up the car and drove straight to salt lake to have dinner with Paul's parents at the blue iguana. Then we raced to Mom and Dad's house to watch the warriors game. Sadly,

This week was very eventful. Monday was the holiday. We went to a BBQ place with Andrew, Sierra, Jacob and Brianna. Jacob and Brianna had to go after dinner. Then we went to Andrew and Sierra's place and talked. Then we went and got ice cream.  Tuesday I started work and it was really fun! They gave me some free merchandise, a lady comes in and makes lunch for everyone, and everyone has been really nice. I was able to take calls by myself by the end of the week!  Paul is enjoying his time in the internship. Wednesday Paul started feeling some tingly sensations and numbness in his hands and feet, which the doctor's warned us might be a sign of progression. So we went to the ER and they tested Paul's blood and gave him an MRI. They showed that his malformation has not changed since the last MRI but there is definite pressure on the brain stem. He can see the surgeon on the 17th.  Friday we got tacos and played basketball with Matt and Hannah. The chapel we went

This week was pretty good. It was Paul's first full week in the internship. The pictures are of the vesicles he has made so far in the lab. They are about 200 nm in size. An average human cell is about 1000x bigger than these vesicles. His group are making them to be a more effective biovehicles for medicine.  Friday I drove all over to Taylorsville, North salt lake, and salt lake to get all the paperwork Paul and I need to for employment. I start this Tuesday! Then we went on a little date to Paul's favorite pizza place, brick oven. Then we met up with Matt and Hannah to play basketball and watch a movie. I jammed my finger and it got all bruised and swollen. It's almost better already but I haven't been able to fit my wedding ring on the last couple of days. Saturday we went to lunch with Matt and Hannah to Station 22 Cafe. It was kinda pricy but they had deep fried cookie dough which was super good!  Later we went up to NSL for a BBQ with Paul's family. We

Monday Paul and I just ran errands to get ready to move to Provo the next day. Tuesday we headed down in the morning and went to lunch with Paul's parents to the black bear diner. Wendy made me this huge, beautiful, warm quilt for my graduation and I just love it! We also stopped by my parents house and had a salmon dinner with them. It was fun to see everyone on the way down. Paul was excited to go to brick oven first thing before we moved in. Wednesday Paul started the internship and I got us all moved in. I had a job interview and got offered a position at an online banking firm. Later we went to dinner with Grandma Kennard then went to the park to play games. I won and was very proud. Thursday I had another job interview at the hospital for a secretary position. I should hear back from them this next week. Paul got more social time than he wanted in lab but liked the work he did in the professors lab.  Friday I ran errands while Paul was working. After we met up wi

Happy mother's day! This week Paul and I had it pretty easy. We are getting ready to move down to Provo. I've been looking for jobs and Paul's been packing and getting his paperwork done. I had a phone interview for a job in Provo and I have an in person interview next week.  I also had my last day at the Chinese restaurant this week. I'm so happy I don't have to work as a waitress ever again :P We also were able to get an MRI this week for Paul. His doctor has been so fast in helping us out, it's been great. The MRI radiologist got back to us and let us know that Paul has a chiari malformation, type 1. He has 13 mm of his cerebral tonsils poking out of the base of his skull. This presents a risk for harming the brain stem and usually requires surgery. The surgery is highly successful and consists of removing a small piece of the skull to relieve pressure. Paul has an appt to see the surgeon in June. We are very hopeful.  Love you all! Thank you for the text

April 1-7, 2019

This week was pretty exciting. I started the week off strong with an exam and a presentation on Monday. Paul gave a presentation on research for one of his classes on Wednesday. He did a great job! He doesn't like giving presentations.  I tried to get all my homework done before Thursday. Thursday I went down to salt lake for an annual conference for dietitians in Utah. It was a 2 day conference, so I stayed at the parents house Thursday night.  It was fun to hang out with the family for a little bit. Mom and I ran to the store and got snacks for her ministering sister who has a big exam coming up. We played rumikub, sequence, and watched My Fair Lady. It was also fun to just get together and talk. The conference was also very interesting. We talked about mindfulness and how to work through stress, the healthy way to have a vegetarian diet, how to have a good work/family life balance, and how to optimize protein intake. Those were the classes I attended.  Friday, Paul work

This week was not very exciting. Paul and I both had exams and projects so all our time was dedicated to studying and homework. We both did well. Sunday we got together with friends for dinner. We had fish tacos and a cinnamon roll cake that I made. Then we played settlers of catan and Paul loved it. He wants to play it with the family next time we're in salt lake. Love you guys!

This week was busy. It started out nice with some warm weather in the fifties. Paul and I went on a walk to the temple for our family home evening.  Wednesday and Thursday were both exciting because we heard back from the chemistry department and Paul was awarded a scholarship and three departmental awards! Not one, not, two, but three! I'm very proud!  We both just studied and worked the rest of the week but it was a good week.  The picture is of Paul with his chemistry research group. We think it's funny how much he towers over most of them haha.  Love you guys!

This week was spring break and we had a great time! We just stuck around Logan but we made the best of it. We got bothered by our new landlord a lot but we haven't heard from him in the last couple of days so hopefully he's figured everything out and won't bug us anymore. Monday I worked but it was so slow. I ended up going home at 7 pm. Paul and I went and got ice cream with Cameron and Collette that night. That was a lot of fun. Cameron had to get up early for work so we only hung out for a little while. Then we went home and watched a scary movie. Tuesday was really sunny so we took advantage and took a walk around the town. There's a book store/music store that Paul loves. So we tried out all their fancy guitars for a little bit. We also went bowling. I did as well as I usually do, which is not good, and Paul did better! We played two games and my total score was 176 and Paul's total score was 237. I worked Tuesday as well and luckily it was a little busier

This week was a little crazy. Paul and I both had a couple of tests and assignments due this week in preparation for spring break. We still made time to go to the temple and did a session on Thursday.  Saturday, Paul and I drove down and came to James's rugby game. He did an awesome job! It was fun to spend time with everyone after a stressful week. Saturday we hung out and played games. A few of us stayed up until 4 am before getting up at 8 to get ready for church.  Sunday we had a good lesson and family home evening on forgiveness. Then had a yummy dinner, cleaned up, and played more games.  We drove up to North salt lake and visited with Paul's family for a while before heading up to Logan Sunday night. Definitely a fun start to spring break! Also, thanks Mom for the cute spring decorations!

Feb 25-Mar 3, 2019

This week was pretty boring. We worked and have been studying for exams we have this next week before spring break. Paul got into the Talmage internship and the Texas REU but we'd save a lot of money by staying in Utah, so we're going to Provo for the summer. We're excited about that. It will be a great opportunity. We went to the temple this week and did sealings. It was nice to get a break from school and work to go to the temple. I worked Saturday night, so Paul and I did not go to the basketball game but we won! And that was pretty awesome.  That's it from us. Love you guys!

Feb 18- 24, 2019

This week we just did school and work. I cooked and cleaned a lot and Paul did awesome on exams. We had one of my old roommates over for dinner and games tonight. She just got back from her mission to Chile in November. It was good to see her.  Love you guys!

I had two exams this week and did awesome on both! Paul had three exams this week and did excellent on all of them! The picture of me in the striped shirt is my relaxed look after taking both exams.  Paul surprised me the morning of my birthday with the gifts shown below. I got two pairs of workout pants, a charger 3 Fitbit, an Oreo candy bar, Spirit the movie, and all three seasons of Avatar. Then we went out to breakfast at the waffle iron before we got hit with a crazy snow storm. The snow lightened up in the afternoon, so Paul got his hair cut, we went to dinner, and got some ice cream. It started snowing again so we went home and watched Avatar while Paul studied for another exam.  Saturday Paul and I came down to Provo and had lunch with the Roberts side. Then Paul spent the day with his brother and I went with the girls for a date day. We shared things that we were interested in, like I gave a presentation on meal planning and Brooke directed a painting project, and then

This week has been very busy. Paul and I both have two tests each this coming week and have been studying very hard for them. We made time to go on a little date and to go to the temple this week on our study breaks. I got my hair highlighted on Friday as my birthday present from Paul. I'm very happy about it :) we also went to my work party this week and were worried we wouldn't make it home safely because of the huge snow storm that hit! The pictures im sending show how much it snowed in like 40 minutes! Love you guys lots!

Jan 28, 2019- Feb 3, 2019

This week was average. Paul and I both had our first exams this week.  I helped with a relief society activity on Wednesday. I'm the ministering secretary so I helped deliver invitations for a dinner and games evening for the women to come and get their ministering interviews done for the quarter. There were not enough people that came all at once to do games but it was nice for me to talk and get to know more people in the ward. Paul and I went on our date to the temple this week. It's been a little warmer in Logan this week so that's been nice.  Love you all!

This week started out with a holiday on Monday. We had some waffles then I got roped into an extra shift at work but it was nice not to have to go to classes.  Tuesday I got a nice surprise in the mail. Wendy made me a photo book of my weekly newsletters and photos since Paul and I have been married for my birthday. It turned out so good! I made one for Paul and gave it to him at our wedding dinner, so now we have one for each year that we've been together. Got to keep that tradition going! Thursday we had a little date and did sealings at the temple. Paul's lab went late so we made it just in time to do a few sealings before they were done for the night. Friday night I worked with my friend, Jackie, and she came to work on this fluffy, super cute sweatshirt. I complemented her and she said she got it at Walmart for super cheap. I also remember Collette wore the same exact sweatshirt when she came over for dinner last week and she said she got it at Walmart

Jan 14, 2019- Jan 20, 2019

We haven't been taking very many pictures lately, so sorry about that. We're both trying hard in school. This semester is going to be very busy. Thursday we went to the temple and got home right before it started snowing. That was a blessing. Saturday we watched the last crusade on Netflix. Paul loved it haha then we had Cameron and Collette over for dinner and games. They are a lot of fun.  That's it for this week. Not super exciting. Paul and I both took a couple tumbles this week slipping on the ice. So we're a little bruised up but we'll have to heal up tomorrow since we don't have classes. Love you guys!

Jan 7, 2019- Jan 14, 2019

Happy birthday Amelia! Hope you had a great day on Monday.  This week has been pretty relaxed for both Paul and I. It was the first week of school and just an intro into all our classes. Paul is going to be pretty busy soon though.  We met up with Cameron and Collette on Saturday for breakfast. We haven't seen them since last May so it was nice to catch up and see them. They are really good friends to us.  We also met up with friends on Sunday to have dinner, watch the devotional, and play games. The made fajitas with homemade tortillas and that made Paul fall in love haha we like spending time with them as well. They are in the ward so we get to see them often.  Paul had applied to a few summer internships. Two in Provo and one in Texas so far. We're doing pretty good with our new year's resolutions still! Week two down! Hopefully we can save some money for the summer and have a good time with the internships. That's it from us. Love you guys!

This week has been fun as our last week of the break. I worked all day Monday then Paul and I went to Taco Bell and got ice cream shakes to celebrate the new year. We watched a scary movie until midnight and that made it exciting haha Tuesday we went grocery shopping to kick off our goals for a healthier year. I worked in the evening, which was good. All the tables were very generous and kind.  Wednesday I got the day off so Paul and I ran errands and went to the USU women's basketball game. We won in double over time! The game was pretty close the whole time and ended up being really fun to watch in the near empty stadium.  Thursday Paul and I went to the temple and just barely missed the 1:00pm session so we got asked to be the witness couple for the next session. It's been our second time! That was a good experience.  Saturday I worked during the day then Paul and I went to the USU men's basketball game that night. We won! We've been to three men's games
