July 8-14

This week was really fun! Tuesday we went to a BBQ with my work. Wednesday I got together with my sister in law, Hannah. She had some girls over for treats and games. I left around 10 before they got into games but it was fun to get to know the girls.

Thursday Hannah invited me to come to a RS activity where they did a recipe exchange. A girl from my mission is in her ward so I talked to her for a bit. We also talked to a Portuguese woman who was visiting her daughter who just finished a ten week English class. She was very nice.

Friday we got together with Matt and Hannah. We went and got tacos, watched a show together. Then Hannah and I went jogging and Matt and Paul played basketball. Hannah and I came back after three miles and played some games with Matt and Paul.

Saturday I started the day by running 4 miles. Then Paul and I got ready and drive up to salt lake. Paul went to see his parents after he dropped me off to get my nails done with Mom and Brianna. When the lady was filing my toenails my baby toenail came off! It didn't hurt but it was gross. She painted the nub of a nail that was left.
Then I helped mom ice some cookies for Brianna and Jacobs baby shower at Brianna's parents house. It was fun to talk and catch up. Dad also showed me some plans for what they are going to do to the basement.

Mom and I went to the shower. They had a yummy lunch for us and we had a game to come up with a middle name for Jacob and Brianna's baby by only using the letters in their names. I won the prize for coming up with the most suggestions! Mom came up with more than me but the name Bacon, that Mom suggested, disqualified her. While I definitely suggested the name Caijon. They got really cute gifts for their baby! A lot of blankets, clothes, and other necessities. Everyone was very generous.

Mom and I ran to the store after so she could make dinner for the Sterners, who just had a baby. We came home and I told Paul we were done so he joined us. He went to lunch with his parents then helped them with yard work until I texted him. We talked with Mom and Dad for a little bit before Mom and I took the dinner over and Dad and Paul played sequence. Then Paul and I went up to Park City and met up with Cameron and Collette for dinner. Then we went to Deer Valley for an outdoor concert by the Utah symphony. They played ET while the orchestra played the soundtrack along with the movie. It was really fun! Collette works in the administration for the Utah symphony so she got us discounted tickets.

Sunday we went to church with Paul's Grandma at the rehab center. She us getting better. We had fun playing games with her before coming home for the day. We had a very fun week!
